Communication Electronics Technician II
The selected candidate will provide communications electronic (C-E) technical support for the following United States Special Operations Command units (USSOCOM): Air Force Special Operations Command (AFSOC), U.S. Army Special Operations Command (USASOC), Naval Special Warfare (NSW), (MARSOC). In addition, technical support will be provided to the U.S. Air Force Air Education and Training Command. Responsibilities will include Life Cycle Support (LCS) services for C4I systems, subsystems, and communications equipment assigned in support of ongoing missions. These technical services will include technical services support of installation, integration, testing, troubleshooting, maintenance, repair, modification, and training of the systems and equipment for the commands listed above.
Travel will be required to various CONUS and OCONUS locations including arduous duty areas and locations designated as Hazardous Duty by the U.S. State Department. Applicant should be aware they will be required to meet and maintain “Fit for Duty” requirements (specific health and physical requirements) as specified by the contract(s) and applicable U.S. Government directives. Refer to CENTCOM Mod 12.
The work site is located at a BAE Systems facility in Ft Walton Beach, Florida. There is no relocation assistance for this position. Applicants must be residing in or state a willingness to relocate to the Ft Walton Beach area.

U.S. Military Communications-Electronics (C4I) formal training and experience.
Tactical radio communications experience to include SATCOM, LOS, and HF operations and maintenance.
Computer, switch, and router experience to include programming, updating software, and troubleshooting.
Communications-Electronics test equipment experience.
Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, wiring diagrams, and mechanical drawings.
Active clearance and ability to maintain.
Ability to travel to CONUS and OCONUS locations.
Preferred Skills and Education Ability to think on your feet and adapt to ever changing situations and conditions related to the work required.
Ability to identify what needs to be accomplished and take action to complete it.
Ability to fabricate/repair various types of interface cables.
Ability to fabricate/repair various fixtures, brackets, and equipment mounts associated with the job.
COMSEC equipment operations/maintenance experience.
Component level repair.
Ability to meet and maintain the certifications/qualifications for deployment to Hazardous Duty locations.
