Career Development Staff Officer
BAE Systems is seeking a skilled Officer Manager/Staff Officer to support a government career development team. Selected Candidates will be embedded with a specific office and provide support via their assigned Career Services Team. The Career Services Teams help their designated organization in career development and advertising vacancies and all aspects of needed support. Candidates will receive and act on guidance and direction from the Career Service Managers and team. Candidates will need to demonstrate clear communication skill, both oral and written, as the role involves collaboration and communication across teams and directorates. An organized, multi-tasking will also be needed as there are often short suspense tasking and high level initiatives that need to be completed. Candidates will be responsible for building briefing/information packets for events and meetings, which may include collecting metrics and conducting research. Additionally, they will need to stay in tune with policies and procedures as they evolve with the growing initiative. Candidates will be responsible for ensuring that web sites and shared sites remain up to date and well organized.
Minimum Education and Experience Bachelor’s Degree and 2 years work experience or equivalent experience Required Skills and Education -Associate’s Degree and
- 3-6 years of relevant experience
- Demonstrated experience managing small projects/tasks
- Professional demeanor with pristine communication skills
- Proficient with SharePoint and Microsoft Office Suite
- Familiar with DTS
- Experience building presentations and packets for peers and senior leadership
