Calibration Technician (electro/mechanical)
Must be capable of performing a wide range of calibration processes on moderately complex electrical and electronic instruments, meters and Gage; such as oscilloscopes, pulse generators, signal generators and power and waveform measurement equipment. Uses a variety of moderately complex test instruments in performing calibrations by taking measurements, and by adjusting voltages, currents, and signal levels and frequencies. Is required to use a variety of moderately complex test instruments and gages in performing calibrations by taking measurement and by making adjjustments and minor repairs as necessary. Must have thorough knowledge of electrical and electronic principles.
Principle Duties and Responsibilities:
Is required to use a variety of moderately complex test instruments and gages in performing calibrations by taking measurement and by making adjjustments and minor repairs as necessary.
Assists others in the use of precision measurement instruments/gages for various measurements involving voltages, currents, force, pressures, signal levels and frequencies.
Works under the supervision of a Team Leader who gives minimal instructions. Team Leader is available for consultation.
Generally validates interim operations for quality purposes; final operations to be validated by Systems Mechanics or other personnel.
- Must understand shop floor computerized time and attendance system and independently execute assigned responsibilities. Examples of those responsibilities are: clocking in and out upon arrival and departure from work, close shop order sequences when work is complete, etc.
