Cable Plant and Wireless Infrastructure Manager

Candidate will be responsible for the design, installation, removal, analysis, testing and general maintenance of an Enterprise Cable Plant and Wireless Infrastructure servicing 52 global locations supporting approximately 12,000 users. This position will be responsible for installing cable racks, patch panels, cabinets, encryption devices, Protective Distribution Systems and evaluating power requirements. They will populate and maintain enterprise cable plant and wireless tracking system along with system drawings such as rack elevation diagrams, patch panel layouts, and other documents. They will contribute to developing/refining/improving ITIL, eTOM and HDI based processes and procedures. This person will need to travel within the continental US and overseas to support projects and resolve complex issues. Minimum Education and Experience Bachelor’s Degree and 5 years work experience or equivalent experience Required Skills and Education

  • Ability to work for senior officials in a dynamic environment
  • Possess or be able to obtain a passport
  • Ability to use Microsoft Visio
  • Excellent communication skills, both oral and written
  • Possess and maintain a DoD 8570 baseline certification. This is a Security+ (CE), SSCP, CCNA-Security, CISA, GCIH, GCED, CASP, or CISSP (or Associate) certification (CISSP or CASP preferred)
  • Must possess and maintain a DoD Top Secret clearance
  • Ability to conduct cable plant and wireless installations and repairs
  • Knowledge of National Security Systems Advisory Memorandum (CNSSAM) TEMPEST/1-13, RED/BLACK Installation and other security guidance
  • Ability to create site system drawings, which include rack elevation diagrams, patch panel layout, etc., in Visio and pdf file format
  • Knowledge of proper Protective Distribution Systems (PDS) requirements
  • Ability to install and verify the proper function of cable racks and cabinets, evaluate inventory accuracy, power requirements, rack space, and equipment delivery IAW National Electrical Code (NEC) 2014, American National Standard Institute (ANSI)/National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) 70
  • Ability to install new Patch Panels, LAN, CCTV or Telephone Cable
  • Ability to install and inspect Crypto and Communications Equipment (DSU/ CSU for Data Circuit) IAW CNSSAM TEMPEST/1-13, RED/BLACK Installation Guidance.
  • Ability to install Protective Distribution Systems (PDS for Classified Systems) IAW National Security Telecommunication & Information Systems Security Instruction (NTISSI) 7003, Protective Distribution Systems (PDS)

Preferred Skills and Education

  • Certified Network Cable Installer (CNCI) or similar certification
  • Cisco, Juniper, Microsoft or other technology certification
  • ITILv3 Foundations certification
