Business Winning Intern (Summer 2019)

Job Description
BAE Systems Intelligence and Security (I&S) sector supports critical national security missions that protect our nation and those who serve.

As our Business Winning Intern, you will gain hands-on, real world business development experience in the defense, aerospace, and government contracting industry by working within our Proposal Development Center (PDC) to help the Business Development team research, write, and produce winning proposals.

In addition to on-the-job training, the I&S Internship Program offers:

Competitive Pay:
Earn a competitive hourly wage, working full-time (Monday-Friday, 40 hours/week) through the run of the program (mid-May through August).

Opportunity for Future Employment: Many of our I&S interns return as interns and/or are hired on full-time after completing their degree.

Networking and Development Opportunities: You will have the opportunity to build long-lasting relationships as you participate in workshops, mentor programs, presentations with senior leaders, community involvement, tours of our exciting products, and other networking and development events.

Required Skills and Education
This position requires:

  • Legal Authorization to work in the United States, without requiring sponsorship for employment visa status now or in the future is required.
  • Current enrollment in an accredited College/University is required at time of the internship.
  • Fluency in Microsoft Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) is required.
  • Ability to work both independently and in a team-oriented, collaborative environment and must be well-organized and able to multi-task effectively.
Research and analytical skills that will enable candidate to find and catalog excellent proposal material for future re-use.

Preferred Skills and Education
  • Business, Communication, or other related focus is preferred as major field of study.
A minimum 3.00 cumulative GPA is strongly preferred.
