Business Continuity Planner
BAE Systems is seeking skilled Business Continuity Planners in support of a government customer. Qualified Candidates will support the customers planning for mission assurance of operational and business functions. Candidates will interpret government regulations and applicable codes, and advise government management on the best course of action to ensure compliance. Selected Candidates will develop programs, procedures and contingency plans based on a risk approach and propose solutions that monitor, evaluate and enable resolution of safety and continuity of operations compliance. Additional duties include performing business impact analysis, risk assessments of essential functions and/or information systems; overseeing the development, integration, and exercising of contingency plans; preparing and conducting briefings and overviews to educate Agency personnel; and preparing and submitting position and information papers in response to government requirements.
Locations are in Springfield, VA and St. Louis, MO
Typical Education & Experience
Typically a Bachelor's Degree and 2 years work experience or equivalent experience
Required Skills and Education
Experience in performing three or more areas of Continuity of Government, Continuity of Operations, Information Technology Disaster Recovery, Business Continuity Planning, Crisis Management, Information Security/Operations, Continuity Strategic Planning and Policy, Enterprise Risk Management
Participation in national level homeland security or continuity of operations exercises
Certification from the Disaster Recovery Institute International (DRII) or a Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) desire
