In this role you will be responsible for leading the Boeing Commercial Account including accountability for developing strategies, business models and objectives for commercial new business development as well as related sales activities for Boeing Commercial Airplanes globally. This will entail supporting the current programs in place that involve every Boeing Platform account we have available with a focus on directly capturing new business from Boeing on both the existing and new platform side (Ex; NMA/NGSA, 787, 777X, 737MAX, Autonomous Vehicles, etc.) while being aligned with BAE Systems growth strategy across various core capabilities (high integrity safety critical systems).

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
  • Analyze competitive market intelligence, customers, peers and prospects to seek out new opportunities, increase volume and secure new business.
  • Direct the strategic initiatives for Boeing Commercial Airplanes globally.
  • Oversee commercial business development activities to maximize and maintain favorable relations with the customer while own the BCA relationship.
  • Direct the growth and development of new commercial business opportunities within Boeing Commercial Airplanes, including the evaluation and recommendations for new products and capabilities.
  • Build category expertise including demand, consumer and customer trends, competitive trends, market entries, new product launches, etc., to support BAE Systems Platform growth initiatives, while also building distinctive thought leadership to our customers.
  • Prepare annual as well as long-term new business development sales forecasts, develop strategies to achieve objectives in product offerings and revenue growth targets.
  • Serve as a senior management liaison with stakeholders in formulating sales plans/pricing/forecasts as it relates to Boeing Commercial.
  • Seattle area centric, 30% minimum travel required with significant customer interface across the Boeing enterprise, including strategic partners, trade shows, industry forums, etc.
  • Support and provides guidance to BAE Systems contracts, production and program teams on negotiations, performance & new product development business programs.
Because of the need for consistent, in-person collaboration and/or the requirement to perform all work onsite due to the nature of this particular role, it will be performed full-time on site. This means work will be conducted on location at a BAE Systems facility 100% of the time.

Required Education, Experience, & Skills

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (engineering, business, marketing, aviation operations or similar discipline is preferred); and 12+ years of relevant work experience.
  • Broad based technical and business knowledge of the aerospace industry.
  • Technical aptitude to clearly represent BAE Systems products & capabilities to the customer at all levels.
Please note that pursuant to a government contract, this specific position requires US citizenship or Permanent Resident status.

Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills

  • Extensive experience working with Boeing Commercial Airplanes.
  • Broad relevant rolodex of contacts within the Boeing Enterprise with a bias towards Boeing Commercial Airplanes across supply chains, engineering & programs Including extensive industry contacts with peers, competitors, airlines and commercial/military customers.
  • Proven track record of winning new business with Boeing Commercial Airplanes.
  • Experience and understanding of complex avionics systems is a plus.

Pay Information
Full-Time Salary Range: $143000 - $243100

Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
