Biometric Analyst I - Post-Match Analysis
The candidate with an all-source analysis or forensic analyst background will be engaged in the use of multiple databases to build an intelligence product on forensic biometric matches to recovered evidence. The position requires analysts to understand forensic, technical information as it pertains to latent fingerprints and DNA. Having proficient organizational skills will make learning the aspects of the position much easier. The technical/forensic understanding aspect of the position is not a prerequisite and will be trained. Anyone assigned to this position will be expected to gain a basic understanding of sensitive site exploitation.
Typical Education & Experience
Typically a Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience
Required Skills and Education
Must have at least 3 years all-source or forensic analyst background. Must have a US Government (military or civilian) trained intelligence background or as an analyst with a badged and credentialed Law Enforcement agency. Must be able to demonstrate strong research and writing skills with thorough knowledge of the Intelligence Cycle, Research and Analytical techniques. Must have experience with Intelligence Community all-source computer applications, search engines, and data processing systems, and network analysis. Must be able to work rotating shifts if necessary. Must be prepared to deploy OCONUS if necessary.
Preferred Skills and Education
This position highly prefers all-source analysts with proficiency in databases that include WEAT, SIDNE, Palantir, QueryTree, Harmony, BISR, SOFEX and Tide are preferred. Already having a proficiency in analysis and organization is preferred.
