BAE Systems is looking for an Automation Engineer in the Sterling Virginia area. Duties will include:
RPA (UiPath), Scripting, Cloud Technologies, SAFe Agile, bridging gap between legacy and emerging architectures; SME in deploying and configuring AWS IaaS, PaaS, SaaS; AWS Well Architected Framework, Ansible, Salt, Puppet, Chef, installation and management of monitoring and configuration management tools; AWS Management Console, CloudFormation, CodePipeline, Trusted Advisor, Server Migration Service (SMS), Database Migration Service (DMS), AWS Outposts, relevant DoD 8570 compliance training/certification, bachelors with 8 yrs experience or 12 yrs experience

Typically a Bachelor's Degree and 8 years work experience or equivalent experience

Generally recognized as a leader in the industry in their area of expertise; sought out by others in the area of expertise for advice and guidance
-Provide expert support, analysis, research, and advice into exceptionally complex problems, and processes relating to the subject matter
-Serve as technical expert on executive-level project teams providing technical direction, interpretation and alternatives. Expertise is in a particular area of Information Technology (e.g., Cybersecurity, Information Systems Architecture, Telecommunications Systems Design, Architecture, Implementation, Information Systems Integration, Software Development Methodologies, Security Engineering, Communications and Network Systems Management).
-Perform highly specialized and technical tasks associated with the most current and cutting-edge technologies
-May serve as a technical consultant to a project or a number projects dealing with area of technical expertise
-Coordinate with contract management and Government personnel to ensure the problems have been properly
Preferred Skills and Education
The nominee must have 18 years experience as a Subject Matter/Functional Expert in the particular area of Information Technology requested in the task order
-Educational Requirements: The nominee must either 1) possess a Master's Degree from an accredited institute in an area applicable to this position (e.g. information systems, computer science, math, or engineering) or 2) have six additional years of relevant Subject Matter / Functional Expertise in a requested area as a substitute for the Master's Degree
