Automatic Switching Unit (ASU) Program Manager
BAE Systems is looking for a qualified professional to join our team for an exciting opportunity supporting acquisition efforts for the Automatic Switching Unit (ASU) program for the Minuteman III Intercontinental Ballistic Missile weapon system. The ASU replacement program addresses obsolescence in the ICBM power distribution system and replaces the aging power switchgear with a modern Commercial-Off-The-Shelf (COTS) solution. The Minuteman III is a 1970s era weapon system and is scheduled to be retained as the United States military’s prompt, global strike deterrent system until at least 2030.
The BAE Program Manager will provide direct support to the designated ICBM Systems Directorate Program Manager. In addition, the BAE program manager will participate in determining support requirements, workloads, program schedules, test equipment, facilities, skills and training to meet milestones, cost estimate and budget submissions and respond to deficiencies.
The position will be located at or near Hill AFB, Utah. Required Skills and Education Required education:
Bachelor Degree with 12+ years leading, managing or supporting programs/personnel
Master Degree with 10+ years leading, managing or supporting programs/personnel
PhD with 7+ years leading, managing or supporting programs/personnel Preferred Skills and Education
Preferred skills: Familiarity with Earned Value Management, risk management, resource planning, contracts, and Government cost and accounting systems. DoD acquisition experience. Working knowledge of common program management tools to include Microsoft Office Suite and Microsoft Project.
