Audit Manager (Project Manager)

Job Description

Internal Audit is looking for a high performing business leader to join our team. Audit Managers lead complex audits, interfacing with business personnel of all levels, and in all parts of BAE Systems Inc. businesses.
Each audit provides the opportunity for detailed research on a new audit topic and the ability to translate the research into an actionable audit plan delivering thoughtful and relevant recommendations that integrate compliance measures with business improvement efforts. The right candidate is able to conduct detailed data, policy, and document reviews, while also utilizing interpersonal skills to build report with auditees. A significant component of the responsibilities include interviewing employees and observing the operating environment of the Inc. business. The position, on occasion, also interfaces with the plc audit team for the purpose of cross group projects or group audits which span the entire global corporation. A large percentage of the fieldwork is completed offsite and the auditor must be willing to travel extensively (50%), both domestically and internationally with some weekend travel. Ideal candidates will have a strong foundation of knowledge in business practices. The position offers a wide diversity of experiences and exposure to every part of the Inc. enterprise.

Typical Education & Experience

Typically a Bachelor's Degree and 8 years work experience or equivalent experience

Required Skills and Education

Required education: Bachelor Degree in Engineering, Business Administration, Finance or other applicable major
8+ years of experience, with relevant experience in Engineering, Product Safety, LCM, or Program Management
Ability to report audit results both verbally and in written form to senior executives
Ability to supervise and direct audit team members during the course of the audit
Attention to detail in both audit planning, fieldwork and reporting
Interface with Site and Senior Management

Preferred Skills and Education

Education: Master's Degree in relevant discipline.
Certifications: PMP, CIA, CPA, CISA
Experience in the defense industry
Experience using Data Analytics
