Asset Manager

Job Description

BAE Systems is looking for an Asset Manager for the upcoming ESITE ISEO opportunity. This position is responsible for managing and administering the IT Asset Management application. Additional tasks include the implementation and enforcement of IT Asset Management processes, policies and standards, work instructions, and activities in compliance with the ITIL V3 framework.

Typical Education & Experience
Typically a Bachelor's Degree and 8 years work experience or equivalent experience

Required Skills and Education
Experience with the following Asset Management activities:

  • Developing and maintaining an Asset Management Plan
  • Defining, tracking and controlling software licenses and hardware throughout out the product lifecycle.
  • Developing and managing reports to provide status on hardware and software vendors, titles, licenses, quantities, and versions
  • Use of the ServiceNow IT Asset Management tool to track and audit hardware and software assets

Understanding of Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL) practices and principles associated with asset management

Strong written and verbal communication skills

Ability to work well in a fast-paced team environment.

Candidate must hold a current Security+ or greater certification, and be enrolled in the Continuing Education (CE) program through CompTIA in accordance with DOD 8570.01-M.

Preferred Skills and Education
Basic understanding of the following ITIL concepts:
  • Service Strategy
  • Capacity Management
  • Service Continuity Management
ITIL certification is a plus.
