Analytic Methodologist

Provide analytical methodologies services in support of intelligence production. Assist and support the analyst workflow in developing coherent analytic strategies to resolve key questions. Act as consultant to analytic entities, help form multi-disciplinary teams to deconstruct key questions, suggest methodologies, develop data schema to structured observations, and support visualization of the data collected, Identify, retrieve manipulate, relate, and/or exploit structured data sets from various sources. Identify and appropriately evaluate a wide range of existing methods, models, and algorithms, in familiar domains for a variety of mission driven problems; recognizing the capabilities and limitations of methods. Use scripts, visual analytic modeling tools, and SOPs to make widely applicable procedures repeatable. Apply critical thinking to projects that may have ambiguous requirements; able to apply solutions from generic customer requirements. Provide problem solving services: defining the problem, application of analytic logic and reasoning, and decision making to affect positive change. Familiarity with knowledge of GEOINT operations and sensors, which can be applied to satisfy key intelligence questions. Lead discussions with customer teams to facilitate knowledge capture. Minimum Education and Experience Bachelor’s Degree and 5 years work experience or equivalent experience Required Skills and Education Candidate must have 3-10 years of relevant experience; a bachelor degree in a field related to the support services may count for up to four years of this experience. Formal training in Operations Research and/or demonstrated experience in problem solving and structuring information and data. Demonstrated experience to resolve end-to-end problem solving. Knowledge of GEOINT operations and sensors, intelligence community and DoD operations. Demonstrated oral and written communication skills. Demonstrated experience using intelligence community software programs. Ability to work with customer teams that may not be familiar with structured data. Ability to elicit knowledge capture from customer teams to enable deconstruction or problem statements.
