All-Source Analytic Support - Technical Editor
The Editor is part of the Knowledge Management team whose requirements include, but are not limited to intelligence production tasking support, editing, content management support, strategic communications support, logistics management support, records management support, policy and resource monitoring support, budgetary support, workforces analysis support, requirements management support, information disclosure support, and technical editing support. Minimum Education and Experience Bachelor’s Degree and 5 years work experience or equivalent experience Required Skills and Education Technical editor must be familiar with customer product line for providing substantive edits of produced intelligence. In addition to correcting for grammar, punctuation, spelling, and usage, a technical editor reviews and amends for clarity, consistency, logic, proper classification markings, and conformance with customer style and Intelligence Community standards. Editor may be called on to edit products that are not considered finished intelligence, such as official correspondence. Editor must be an expert with MS Word and PowerPoint and familiar with SharePoint for encouraging authors to download the proper template for each product they create. Editor must also be familiar with the Security Markings Program for ensuring photos, maps, graphics, tone boxes, captions, and titles are properly marked and appropriate caveat warning notices are used. Additionally, editor should be familiar with appropriate requirements for ensuring the declassification block on finished intelligence products are filled-in by the author and complete. Other references the editor should be familiar with are the customer’s Correspondence Guide and Style Guide.
Preferred Skills and Education Bachelor or masters degree with 8 plus years of intelligence analysis experience, or, specialized training and 10 plus years intelligence analysis experience.
