ALCS-R Senior Engineer

Job Description

BAE Systems is offering exciting opportunities providing engineering support to the Intercontinental Ballistic Missile ICBM) Program Office. The ICBM Systems Directorate is replacing the Mark 21 Fuze in the Minuteman III ICBM and it is projected to support any follow-on MMIII replacement, which will require intensive integration efforts. Team members will directly support the government in the execution of the EMD and Production and Deployment phases. Team members will support and advise the Government with writing technical acquisition documents and reviewing contractor deliverables.

Typical Education & Experience

Typically a Bachelor's Degree and 6 years work experience or equivalent experience

Required Skills and Education

BS and 12 years experience or 10 years experience with an MS. Recent DOD acquisition lifecycle experience especially in developmental and operational testing.

Personnel shall be familiar with the acquisition process IAW Department of Defense (DoD) 5000.2 and Better Buying Power 3.0, to include but not limited to; program schedules and phases, entrance/exit criteria, acquisition documentation, program requirements, technical development strategy, and acquisition strategy. Candidates must have previous experience directly managing contracted workloads with emphasis on requirements, design, production, and command and control equipment.

Preferred Skills and Education

ICBM domain experience is preferred but not required. Testing experience is plus for the candidate, especially prototype testing in which evaluation criteria are used in "down select" evaluations.
