Aircraft CAD Design Drafter

Job Description
BAE Systems is looking for an experienced design drafting professionals to join our established and rapidly expanding aircraft modification engineering team in Fort Walton Beach, Florida.

The individual selected for this position will be an experienced Designer who is a problem solver with diverse technical capabilities and sound design fundamentals to support engineering, design, analysis, product definition and product build process. The duties assigned to this position include the following:

Designs and reviews complex packages for systems and platforms.

Uses advanced technical knowledge to design intricate and complex systems. Supports engineering staff in the timely execution and completion of complex design projects.

Ensures designs meet specifications set by the customer.

Designs components or portions of systems and modifies existing designs to develop or improve products.

Adapts existing documentation to create enhanced, or improved, system designs.

Utilizes computer-aided design equipment and/or graphic tools to create system designs.

Researches equipment and products to be used in final design. Gathers information, makes studies, computes calculations, and prepares original rough layouts.

Creates, maintains and updates engineering records and files as appropriate. Interfaces with all involved parties to ensure final product meets all specifications.

May serve as a mentor to junior level designers.

Performs other related duties as assigned.

Required Skills and Education
Required education and experience:

Associates Degree or equivalent experience and four years of related experience

Working knowledge of aerospace materials and specifications.

Supply technical drawings and 3 Dimensional models of specialized parts, tooling, and assembly.

Produce technical drawings, assembly drawings, & bill of materials.

Extensive experience with ENOVIA

Maintain multiple CAD and documentation databases.

Working knowledge of CATIA, SolidWorks, AutoCAD and Microsoft office suite
