Advanced Exploitation Research Engineer
BAE Systems is looking for entry level engineers to work on Information Operations R&D programs. The work will be run out of BAE Systems Technology Solutions division where our primary customers are Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency (DARPA) and other government labs. Primary responsibilities include assisting with new concept development as well as strong technical contributions to programs. Much of the work will be performed in the context of small teams consisting of other engineers and academically strong assistant researchers.
Duties are primarily focused on technical contribution to programs, and include new concept and algorithm development, data analysis and integration & test under the supervision of a lead engineer. Work is very interdisciplinary with core competencies in the fields of digital signal processing, applied mathematics and computer science.
Position functions within more than one discipline and has broader exposure to interdisciplinary work. Work performed is considered moderately complex to complex within the spectrum of the discipline and in many cases takes into account concepts from other disciplines. You will have significant opportunities for career growth in the development of scientific and mathematical software applications and algorithms. Minimum Education and Experience Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience Required Skills and Education Bachelor’s degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Applied Mathematics or equivalent with a minimum 3.2 GPA.
- Must be a US citizen and able to obtain a Top Secret security clearance
- Strong programming skills in one or more of the following: MATLAB, C, C++, Python
- Background in mathematics and digital signal processing
- Motivated individual with strong problem-solving abilities, willingness to perform a wide variety of related tasks, and exceptional oral and written skills
