Assistant Treasurer

Backcountry is in search for the next key member of its Finance team.  As the Assistant Treasurer, you will be responsible for performing daily cash and borrowing activities, ensuring that we monitor our cash and borrowing position carefully, and for the preparation of related forecasts. You will also be responsible for working with our fraud mitigation, accounts receivable, and accounts payable teams to assist in improving performance. This position reports to the Controller and is based at our Park City, UT office.

About the Job

  • Daily management of our ABL line of credit including draws, payments and interest exposure
  • Reviewing and submitting our monthly bank reporting deliverables, including our borrowing base calculation and financial reporting package
  • Monitoring and forecasting our daily cash and ABL line of credit position
  • Forecasting our cash, debt, accounts receivable and accounts payable balances as part of our overall balance sheet forecast
  • Implementing improved cash application and cash reconciliation processes
  • Assist with managing our banking relationships, including online access user administration
  • Corporate purchase card administration
  • Assist with managing our insurance policy portfolio
  • Assist with managing our Dun and Bradstreet Paydex score
  • Assist with managing our merchant processor relationship and understanding and improving our processing fee exposure
  • Working with our accounts payable team to forecast payment volume and improve related metrics
  • Working with our fraud mitigation and accounts receivable departments to improve related metrics
  • Answer accounting and financial questions by researching and interpreting data
  • Identify, research, and explain variances of actual performance to forecast
  • Protect organization's value by keeping information confidential
  • Manage and train staff to understand and perform accounting reconciliations and procedures
  • Accomplish accounting and organization mission by completing related projects as needed

About You

  • 7 to 9 years of related experience
  • Demonstrated understanding of cash payment, cash receipt, borrowing, and baking processes as well as experience in managing banking relationships
  • Experience in managing credit lines and lender relationships
  • Excellent written, verbal and analytical skills; ability to multitask and balance priorities
  • Ability to meet tight deadlines, while maintaining accuracy of information and attention to detail
  • Intermediate to advanced MS Office Suite skills
