Site Merchandising Manager

Babylist is hiring a Site Merchandising Manager to join our growing eCommerce team. In this role, you will manage the site merchandising strategy and execution that will deliver against our ambitious growth goals. What You'll Do

  • Lead the overall site navigation and merchandising strategy (i.e. site structure, linking), optimizing and iterating to achieve goals around revenue and engagement in the Babylist eCommerce store 
  • Define and manage ideal store navigation that supports easy and inspirational product discovery
  • Support business goals through effective site presentation, curation, and execution of marketing strategies
  • Collaborate with the Category Merchandising teams to develop a site strategy that aligns with assortment and business objectives, providing analytical insights and recommendations to optimize the business
  • Develop, calendarize, and execute to site plans that include product curation, asset updates, navigation changes, seasonal updates, promotional events, and co-marketing commitments
  • Own project management and execution of promotional events; set milestones, create and execute to site plans, execute timed pricing, and quality assurance of events
  • Develop a content strategy and calendar for the Homepage that aligns with overall business strategy; partner with merchandising, marketing and editorial teams on linking strategy
  • Assess and report on weekly/monthly/quarterly performance; make informed optimizations and recommendations for top landing pages, bounce pages, exit rates, and cart abandonment
  • Partner with Data Analytics team to define analytics requirements and drive creation of reporting tools
  • Analyze search results and make optimization recommendations to content and product teams
  • Ensure top item PDPs (product display pages) are compelling and complete

Who You Are

  • Passionate about the customer journey and experience
  • You have a deep understanding of web and mobile-based consumer behavior 
  • You have strong analytical skills and can interpret meaningful themes from quantitative data
  • You are flexible and can adapt to changing priorities; you are able to find efficiencies and improvements to make existing processes more successful
  • You have strong communication skills and can work effectively with with diverse partners
  • You have a passion for start-ups and e-commerce; you can be scrappy and are comfortable wearing many hats

What You've Done

  • Minimum of 4 years of experience in an e-commerce capacity
  • Proven track record of developing and implementing initiatives
  • You have experience working with web analytics tools such as Omniture, Google Analytics, Heap, Algolia, or equivalent
  • You have experience working with Business Intelligence teams and influencing reporting and tools
  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent preferred
