Your Impact
A Technical Services Manager ensures successful +12VDC installation, configuration, and testing of various Axon products including cameras, activation modules and other in-car camera equipment. As a member of the Axon Professional Services Team, the Technical Services Manager will work on post sales deployments of Axon products to prospective customers, while also answering questions from current customers that encounter issues or have questions about their existing deployment of Axon products. The Technical Services Manager is a customer-facing, front line role, and facilitates the deployment of Axon products and solutions.

Your Day to Day

  • Complete installation, configuration, and testing of equipment and wiring for in-car video, activation devices and body worn cameras
  • Develop guidelines for the installation of equipment to emergency vehicles
  • Develop wiring schematics as requested by customers
  • Develop custom wire harnesses and fabricated parts for specialized installations
  • Train customers and sub-contractors on the proper installation and use of technical equipment
  • Document customer feature requests and issues, providing feedback to sales and product management
  • Transfer industry, technical, and product knowledge to customers
  • Proactively work to prevent post sales issues that shorten time to revenue
  • Troubleshoot issues with existing Axon installations
  • Other duties as assigned

Skills Preferred

  • Wiring or Volt Certification - 12 Volt Certification or similar
  • Public safety vehicle up-fitting
  • Video solutions deployment, installation, testing
  • Experience with SAAS or on premise data management support
  • Some professional experience interacting with/supporting law enforcement or military preferred
  • Experience with project management and resource tracking
  • General technology design, concepts, or support

Skills Required

  • AA, Technical trade school or equivalent
  • Knowledge of wiring, circuitry, and specialized electronics
  • Knowledge and demonstrated operating experience in one or more of the following areas of specialization: Digital video, digital audio, mobile communications, embedded Systems, SAAS and on premise data management
  • Understanding of software and/or hardware, testing and implementation
  • Ability to work effectively without direct supervision
  • Technical knowledge and consultative skills
  • Willingness to take ownership of accounts and account related actions
  • Must be able to coordinate across various groups and functional teams
  • Demonstrated ability to implement, drive and track projects
  • Willing to travel to assigned client cities throughout North America frequently, and travel as needed for company meetings and training.
