At Axon we believe it's critical that leaders have a breadth of understanding of the entire business process from initial conception to product launch. Before settling into your role, SDP's gain exposure to the following departments: Sales Operations, Lead Generation, and Insides Sales. Each rotation is tailored to the individuals area of expertise to ensure optimal role to personnel fit. Successful individuals will qualify for field sales positions on of our three field sales teams including international, hardware, or SaaS software teams. Premier field sales personnel is considered for sales directors and management positions.

Basic Qualifications

  • A bachelor's degree or higher from an accredited university with a major in Professional Sales or Business with Sales focus
  • Real passion for technology, public safety, and sales
  • Strong independent thinking with levels of pro-activeness, ownership mentality, self-motivation, ambition, and entrepreneurial spirit
  • Grit and ability to overcome obstacles
  • Excellent communication skills
  • GPA greater than or equal to 3.0/4.0 (Strong academic performance)

Preferred Qualifications

  • Real world sales experience a strong plus including internship or former job history in sales
  • Participation in National Team Selling Competition or other sales organizations is recommended
  • Leadership in extra curriculum activities is a plus

Responsibilities

  • Developing and accomplishing a regional sales plan that includes lead generation, field sales engagement, and prospecting to help meet or exceed quarterly and annual sales targets
  • Participating fully in training sessions, meetings, skill-building and professional development classes
  • Identifying decision makers amongst the targeted leads or accounts in order to start sales process
  • Maintaining and expanding the CRM (Salesforce) with prospects or accounts
  • Outbound and inbound account management
  • Supporting the reseller communication channel throughout the sales process when needed
  • Attending sales group meetings concerning sales targets or forecasts and reporting on market situation
  • Handling changes in sales orders and communicating those changes with related departments
  • Providing effective product demos for end-user customers via phone and web conferencing
  • Emphasizing The Axon Experience by promoting product features and benefits, discussing credit terms, quoting prices, and preparing sales orders
  • Creating and delivering qualified opportunities to the field teams
  • Capturing of accurate and complete information in Customer Relationship Management system (Salesforce)
  • Attending industry conferences and regional trainings to develop industry expertise
