We're an agile, high-reaching team looking for great interns with communication, journalism, PR, marketing, training, or web development backgrounds. Individuals that will push the company further in its marketing strategies and initiatives. Axon seeks achievers, leaders and visionaries.

As the PR intern you'll be passionate about building the Axon brand. You'll also support the communications team on finding new opportunities to tell Axon's story with top tier media outlets and help respond to media requests. This is an opportunity to work across multiple teams and develop expertise in a myriad of PR and Communication functions including, media relations, executive and corporate communications, social media and more. 


  • Developing and implementing PR campaigns to support product launches and drive brand awareness of the brand
  • Developing, promoting, and facilitating community involvement opportunities as well as speaking engagements
  • Researches stories, collects testimonials, writes press releases and pitches feature articles that improve the Axon image and brand
  • Coordinates press visits for media/influencers, which includes performing on-site hosting and logistics, and assembling press materials
  • Responding to media inquiries
  • Managing Axon's media contacts database and builds and maintains media lists
  • Measures the success of PR programs and events and compiles PR reports
  • Manages online media room

Basic Qualifications

  • 1-2 years of work experience in related field
  • Outstanding oral and written communications abilities, strong judgement, decision making and interpersonal skills
  • Understanding of PR tactics and general media relations
  • Strong attention to detail and proofreading skills
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize
  • You must be a self-starter and enjoy simultaneously managing multiple projects
  • Team oriented
  • Enrolled in a bachelor's degree program with an emphasis in Communications, Journalism, Public Relations, or Marketing
  • GPA greater than or equal to 3.0/4.0 (Strong academic performance)
