Your Day to Day
As an Engineering Technician, you will be responsible for assisting Electrical Engineers in prototyping circuits, testing and troubleshooting, and building test fixtures. You will operate electronic test equipment, solve problems and test circuits, read schematics, SMT solder, and breadboard. You have strong mechanical abilities such as operating shop equipment (saws, drills, lathes, etc.) and experience with Labview or PLC's is a plus.
Additionally, you have experience building testers and/or complex box projects. Please be prepared to bring in technical show and share examples of your work.

Skills Required

  • AA Degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering discipline, or equivalent
  • Minimum 2 years’ experience
  • Strong mechanical and manufacturing skills including ability to use basic hand tools and power tools
  • Solder and desolder SMT and leaded components
  • Build, test, and inspect electronic assemblies, PCBs, breadboards
  • Record, review, and report test results clearly & concisely
  • Maintain lab and test equipment, perform developmental and experimental testing
  • Analyze defective product returned from the field and find root cause
  • Design and build test fixtures, maintaining parts inventory, read and understand schematics
  • Experience calibrating variety of oscilloscopes and equipment
  • Experience using LabVIEW or PLC's desired
  • Software development skills (C++, Python, etc.) a plus
  • Excellent attention to detail, communication and organizational skills
