Avanade UK is looking to hire a Microsoft Cloud Security Architect for our UK Security Consulting practice, based in London.

About the role

Working on some of the largest and bleeding edge security projects; the role of the Microsoft Cloud Security Architect is a customer facing, where you will play an active role in transforming our client's Cloud Security on their Microsoft Azure platform through designing and implementing Microsoft Security technologies.

We are currently looking for candidates with deep technical skills and experience in designing and implementing Cloud Security solutions, with a preference to those experienced working with Microsoft Azure Security technologies, including the broader areas of Microsoft Windows security and Microsoft Enterprise, Mobility and Security suite.

The role will involve delivering throughout the project lifecycle and candidates should be comfortable with performing advisory engagements, which involves taking the client on a journey from their current mode of operation to their future mode of operation. Performing discovery and analysis of a client's current and target state. Designing broad security solutions that protect, detect and respond to threats. Building and integrating the security solutions within the client's environment. Writing and executing test scripts. Ensuring the successful deployment and go live of the solutions and transitioning them to support providers.

Candidates must be comfortable meeting with clients and other business stakeholders, leading workshops, performing pre-sales and preparing proposal materials as well as having a good commercial awareness. Candidates should be self-motivated and able to work independently and as part of a team. Ideally the candidate will have experience building and leading teams through the project lifecycle.

We require a technically capable candidate with a deep and proven understanding of Microsoft Cloud Security technologies. Candidates will be expected to demonstrate expertise across the following areas:

• Azure Security Center
• Azure AD Identity and Single Sign On capabilities
• Network and Perimeter Security
• Azure Log Analytics and SIEM integration.
• Azure Key Vault and Encryption
• Windows Server Security and Hardening
• Azure Threat Protection
• Securing data within Azure, such as Data Lake, Data Bricks and Azure SQL.

As a potential member of our growing Security Consulting practice the successful candidate must have a strong foundation across the Microsoft Security solution stack. Experience and subject matter expertise in at least three of the technologies listed below is preferred:

• Active Directory Federation Services
• Active Directory Domain Services
• Active Directory Certificate Services
• Azure AD Connect
• Microsoft Identity Manager
• Windows Server Operating Systems
• Office 365 tenant security
• Office 365 Security
• Windows 10 Security
• Azure Information Protection/RMS
• Microsoft Intune
• Office 365 Security
• Data Privacy and an understanding of GDPR

Additionally, candidates should demonstrate knowledge, experience and ideally hold certifications in the following areas:
• CCSP
• CISSP
• CIPP/E
• CompTIA Security+
• Microsoft Office365 exams 70-346, 70-347
• Microsoft Azure exams 70-532, 70-533
• MCSE/MCSA

To supplement the technical knowledge and project delivery experience, the successful candidate will come from a Consulting background with good customer facing skills, the ability to gather customer requirements and produce high quality written deliverables. Candidate should have strong analytical and problem-solving skills. As an Architect, you must be willing and able to travel extensively within the UK, potentially across a number of different clients.

Travel is an integral part of this position; candidates must be willing and able to travel within the UK as much as is required by the needs of our customers and our business. Although not frequent, this could also involve international assignments.
