Exchange Consultant

About the role

Working on some of the largest and leading edge projects, the purpose of the Messaging Consultant is to be customer facing and play an active role in large scale messaging deployment and migration projects for our customers. This will involve delivering throughout the complete project lifecycle including discovery, design, build, test, deployment and transitioning to service.

The successful candidate will naturally have a strong foundation in core Microsoft infrastructure technologies, but more specifically they will be able to demonstrate prior experience and subject matter expertise in large scale messaging deployment and migration projects (2000+ seats) where organisations have migrated from one version of Exchange Server to another, to Office 365, or from another software platform. The key areas and technologies the candidate will show strong experience in are:

  • Working knowledge of designing, implementing and supporting Microsoft Exchange products;

o Exchange 2003, 2007, 2010, 2013;

o Office 365;

o Messaging clients (Outlook, OWA, Mobile);

  • Knowledge of using, creating and amending PowerShell scripts;
  • Understanding of Microsoft client and Server related services, processes and technologies;
  • Active Directory deployment, migration and administration;
  • Other desirable Messaging related technologies;

o Lotus Notes;

o SSO for Office 365;

o Directory Synchronisation for Office 365;

o 3rd Party MDM;

o 3rd Party Archiving;

o Compliance (Journal, eDiscovery, Holds, DLP);

o Web Applications (IIS, ASPX, Publication);

o Security (TLS, S/MIME, IRM, Hosted Encryption)

o Storage (DAS, NAS, SAN);

o Networking (Firewall, NLB, Proxy, Intelligent DNS, Acceleration).

Qualifications

In addition to the technical knowledge and project delivery experience, the successful candidate will come from a consulting background with good customer facing skills, have experience of producing high quality written deliverables (Word documents, PowerPoint presentations), be a team player actively

Travel is an integral part of this position; candidates must be willing and able to travel within the UK as much as is required by the needs of our customers and our business. Although not frequent, this could also involve international assignments.
