In this role, you will:
Lead from the front, demonstrating strategic, operational, and tactical capabilities; lead business-focused initiatives while being hands-on in implementing operational HR support to ensure quality delivery
Provide overall People leadership for the region. You will be an active and vocal member of the Northeast Region Leadership Team as well as the North American and Extended Global HR Leadership Teams
Translate high-level People strategy into something local teams (both business and HR) relate to and are inspired to deliver
Serve as a trusted advisor and partner to the Region General Manager, demonstrating how the regional People strategy measurably contributes to the overall region business outcomes
Drive innovative employee engagement programs to inspire greatness and improve retention within the region
Execute strategic Inclusion & Diversity strategies and programs to achieve overall improvement in regional representation and inclusion metrics
Ensure that the skill and leadership development needs of the region are represented and accounted for within broader Learning & Development plans
Drive talent management processes and succession planning within the Region
Be responsible for the implementation of all corporate policies at the Region level, including compliance matters and employee relations
Serve as a change agent and voice of both the people within the region, as well as the corporate Employee Value Proposition (EVP) to ensure that actions align to Avanade's commitment to all employees
Effectively leverage and partner with Global HR Centers of Excellence (CoE)
Demonstrate proven experience in HR strategy, process design and improvement
Motivate, inspire, and develop the next generation of HR talent within the region and across North America
Meet deadlines on short time frames and under pressure with the ability to prioritize quickly for yourself and your team

Your Skills
You are a confident leader who understands an entrepreneurial environment and can find commonality rather than differences in approaches, needs, culture and practices. You are able to balance the cost of new ideas and programs with the return on investment (ROI). You have HR Generalist experience and/or progressive experience across a variety of HR domains. You probably have a Bachelor's degree in HR, Business or Psychology, although equivalent work experience will certainly be considered. You also have 6-10+ years of experience leading people and teams working in a complex professional services environment.
Ideally, your experience includes:
Courageous authenticity in building trusted working relationships with Executives and other senior leaders across the business and HR
Excellent stakeholder and client management
Developing strategic HR methodologies and approaches
Leading, coaching and mentoring a team of HR professionals to establish your own succession plan
Strong understanding of US / Northeast Region local labor laws and competitive employment market
Managing conflict to a successful resolution, both with business stakeholders and through employee relations
Strong knowledge of Microsoft suite of workplace solutions

Compensation for roles at Avanade varies depending on a wide array of factors including but not limited to the specific office location, role, skill set and level of experience. As required by local law, Avanade provides a reasonable range of compensation for roles that may be hired in New York as set forth below and [1] information on benefits offered is here.
Role Location: Range of Starting Pay for role
New York: $225,000 - $260,000
