Digital Studio Manager

Role Overview:
As a Studio Manager within Digital Innovation Studio, you will contribute to success of digital solutions through a combination of studio operations and delivery responsibilities, and knowledge of design and innovation process and best practices. Your role is often multidisciplinary in nature, and requires an expert with a broad skillset, to ensure the studio runs smoothly through scheduling, budgeting, forecasting, and cross-project management duties. When responsible for the delivery component, you will apply your understanding of design process to project delivery estimation, risk management, time management, stakeholder interactions, and change processes.

Key Role Responsibilities: Day-to-day you will:
- Support studio related projects in operational endeavors, like scheduling and staffing
- Active in measurement and reporting of KPIs and other key metrics as defined by leadership
- Define/manage team workflows and timings
- Manage pipeline opportunities into projects, consultant bench, and internal projects
- Be active role in client relationship management activities
- Engage with client on scope management, keeps team accountable for work estimation, deliverable approval
- Be active in various studio forecasting needs, including opportunities, hiring, and financials
- Help identify sales opportunities through customer knowledge and relationships
- Be active in proposal development, work estimation, and business development activities and strategies

Qualification

■Excellent communication and relationship skills to establish and maintain effective working relationships with Avanade leadership, sales team, project members and clients.
■Deep understanding of UI, UX and Design capabilities, methods and best practices based on actual delivery experiences, not just theoretical understanding-Experience in project delivery required
■Experience in discovery and concepting phases of projects where new project scope and requirements are formed
■Demonstrated organizational leadership
■ Experience working in a client-facing role, delivering work to client specifications and expectations
■Ability to drive projects internally and externally to move things forward through analysis of the overall status and necessary next steps

Preferred Certifications:
Human-Centered Design related certifications (e.g. JES Certified Professional Ergonomist, Certified Human Centered Design Professional)

Preferred Education Background:
You likely possess a Bachelor degree in design, communications or another relevant field. An equivalent combination of education and experience will also suffice.

Preferred Years of Work Experience:
You likely have about 6+ years relevant studio or design-focused delivery experience

Preferred Years of Management Experience:
2 + years managing people/teams
