Digital MU Lead | Midwest

About the role

The Market Unit (MU) Leadership team is responsible for the financial success of one or more market units in its assigned market segment.

As a Digital Market Unit Lead-Midwest, you will have two fundamental roles. Outside Avanade, you will be an Ambassador for Avanade Digital and the Midwest Region. Inside Avanade, you will be responsible for the overall performance and growth of the region's Digital Market Unit.

In the first role, you be highly engaged with our clients, as well as with our counterparts at Microsoft and Accenture, to promote and grow our Digital business and ensure we deliver full-spectrum solutions and value for clients.

In the second role, you will develop the Digital MU business strategy, oversee day-to-day operations, help drive sales, ensure quality and deliver against financial performance metrics. To do this, you'll work closely and effectively with our growing sales team and drive a team of four to six direct reports.

Day-to-day, you will:

Define Digital MU strategy for the Midwest Region and partner with peers in other geographies and with the Area-level Region MU Lead to establish the strategy and operations plans

Support investment decisions to help grow the offering and practice

Manage budget against assigned area and region metrics; provide forecasting and sales pipeline analysis

Manage effective delivery of work to clients, ensuring adherence to Avanade methodologies and ensuring client satisfaction

Support MU personnel activities, including hiring, staffing, skills forecasting and career development

Participate on the Midwest Executive Team

Help to determine priorities for staff positioning on client projects, business development activities and internal investments initiatives

Qualifications
About you

You are a leader-whether it's driving direct reports to envision, shape, sell and deliver digital projects; guiding clients along their digital transformations; educating and motivating the sales team; or working with peer executives to shape and implement broader strategy.

You can't be chained to a desk. You love to be in front of clients to understand their needs and articulate Avanade's value proposition. You're eager to get out into the Microsoft, Accenture and other partner communities to sell Avanade and network for new opportunities.

You are a visionary, with a vision of how the Digital team can best sell and deliver market-relevant work-and an even broader vision of the digital marketplace and what our clients want in a digital partner.

Your experience and skills likely include:

Knowledge of digital marketing (Sitecore), data& analytics, customer relationship management, experience design, mobility, user experience and how these work together as part of the client and customer experience

Understanding the skills needed in a team to sell, shape and deliver digital work

Ability to recruit-and connection to a network of possible candidates to hire into our digital organization

Leadership and communication skills, especially strong influencing and negotiation capabilities

You likely have a Bachelor's Degree in a business or technology-related field, with an MBA or advanced technical degree preferred. You likely already live in the Chicago, Detroit, St. Louis, Minneapolis or open to relo.
