About the job
The Client Executive (CE), Business Development, is responsible for generating sales and driving revenue - typically from high-risk and high-return prospects - through seeking, acquiring, developing and expanding business leads to achieve short and long-term revenue and profit growth.
The CE has full operational accountability for a portfolio of large, complex, and strategic projects, programs or customers. They are responsible for ensuring the alignment and integration of operations and strategy for large-scale, complex operations.
As a CE, you will represent an area of global capability or discipline, or have multi-functional accountability within a region.
In this role, your focus will be on high potential accounts, and you will instigate customer relationships at C level within the Pharma/Life Science industry. You may also support an Account Manager on specific opportunities.
You will be involved in cross-selling new work to existing customers and developing new customers where there is potential to create long-term strategic relationships.
You will seek to increase the profitability of a portfolio of accounts through cross-selling service lines, including Application-managed services or Infrastructure-managed services.
All this means that day-to-day, you will:
- Generate revenue by selling IT professional services and manage customer relationships for new and existing accounts
- Identify opportunities to increase sales volume while ensuring service levels are met
- Assist with the development of sales plans and strategies
- Sell a portfolio of Avanade or third-party software products directly to end-user organizations
- Specialize in the sale of enterprise systems, desktop packages, software development tools, databases, communications software, applications software, and new software licenses.
You are likely to have around 8 or more years' experience of services sales or professional consulting experience, as well as 5 years' management experience.
You should have a Bachelor's degree, and ideally you have a Master's degree or equivalent.
You will need excellent interpersonal and presentation skills, and a strong customer focus. Able to skilfully navigate through negotiations, you should demonstrate thought leadership and innovation in addressing customers' business needs.
You are capable of managing sales pipelines and meeting sales and delivered revenue quotas. A high level of understanding of Avanade solutions, Microsoft products and technology services, Accenture industry solutions and competitive offerings is essential.
We look for a strong track record of selling complex IT projects and solutions, and the ability to leverage an extensive network of contacts inside and outside the company.
You have extensive experience from the Pharma/Life Science Industry and GxP.
You have strong management skills, and a good technical foundation.
Ideally, you will be experienced in selling outsourcing or managed services deals and other large-scale engagements that include significant offshore delivery. You should also have experience leveraging offshore resources in deal pursuits.
