Position Overview
Autodesk is looking for a Senior Software Engineer to join our Generative Design and Simulation team in Krakow. Our team develops Generative Design technology that is integrated in Autodesk Fusion 360. We are looking for experienced engineers who are enthusiastic about building innovative solutions which combine desktop applications, web clients and cloud services.
At large, we are developing C++ applications & components using recent C++17 standard, but our tech stack is much wider, offering multiple ways to enriching your technical skills. Parts of our code base are currently using Qt, JavaScript/TypeScript (including Node.js), Go, Python and more. Our infrastructure is built on Git, Jenkins, CMake and Docker. Our choice of cloud is AWS, with solutions tailored for Autodesk exclusively. We are developing for all major platforms, including Linux, Windows and macOS. The variety of problems that we solve range from effective UI, efficient data models, multi-service architectures, CPU/GPU efficacy, computational algorithmic and machine learning. All of this wrapped in friendly atmosphere, full of experimenting and creative collaboration, with agile principles in mind.

Responsibilities
- Design, prototype and implement solutions providing value to customers.
- Produce clean, effective, secure, maintainable and well-documented code.
- Unit test, debug and solve defects in implemented software solutions.
- Actively participate in code reviews.
- Collaborate with the teammates and other teams to deliver high-quality solutions.
- Conduct and contribute to technical discussions.
Minimum Qualifications
- Proficiency in modern C++ programming.
- Extra points for experience with JavaScript programming.
- Extra points for familiarity with cloud solutions (AWS).
- Familiarity with software architecture practices.
- Good communication skills; communicative English.
- Teamwork attitude.
- Openness for new technologies.
