The ideal candidate will be a dedicated safety and security professional with a demonstrated ability to deliver high quality results by working collaboratively with key stakeholders, independently and as a team leader that provides support in a professional, positive, and courteous manner. The GSOC Manager should possess leadership skills and qualities that empowers the GSOC team members by fostering an environment that enables a growth mindset, innovation, adaptability, humility, and accountability.

This role will lead the people and functions that make up the GSOC, to include Supervisors and Analysts/Operators, and will report to the Global Physical Security Operations Manager (GPSOM). The GSOC Manager will oversee the day-to-day operations, professional development and training of staff, in addition to, all processes and systems within the GSOC -- to include but not limited to, incident alerting, emergency notification, access control, CCTV and badging.

The GSOC Manager is responsible for the team's operational management of global threats, incidents and safety & security issues for all Autodesk employees and workplaces, as well as providing support with events, travel security, investigations and GSOC related projects with internal/external teams.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and provide clear direction to the Global Security Operations Center (GSOC) team, which includes Analysts/Operators, Shift Leads/Supervisors, and/or any other personnel as assigned by any title, as well as align with internal key partners/teams
  • Manage GSOC employee performance and career development to include internal and external training opportunities
  • Develop, implement, apply and maintain GSOC standard operating procedures, processes, processes, protocols, policies, systems and trainings that enhance operational efficiencies
  • Responsible for conducting on-the-job training, in coordination with Shift Leads/Supervisors and ensuring that all training and compliance for team members is continually audited and updated
  • Manage & oversee rollout and implementation of security related technology within and/or interacts with the GSOC operations, as well as develop procedures, processes, and training
  • Identify, assess and report system/application failures, deficient processes and workflows, and/or workforce management or personnel issues
  • Act as a key decision maker during times of urgent need by employees or the Company
  • Develop and provide data driven reporting and metrics that are relevant to the GSOC operations and Physical Security team's objectives
  • Effectively respond to requests related to delivering task-specific assessments or data-driven metrics and facilitate project management of technical systems and programs directly associated with GSOC operations
  • Provide guidance and determine course of action for incidents or potential threats based on GSOC procedures and/or processes
  • Directly manage GSOC staff scheduling, shift coverage and timecards per Autodesk policy and GSOC procedures
  • Maintain direct communication with the Global Physical Security Operations Manager (GPSOM) on any critical needs, issues, or safety/security concerns that arise or become known within the GSOC
  • Conduct and produce regular GSOC system audit reports to mitigate physical security risks for the Company's workforce, workplaces, and property
  • Oversee urgent technical issues and triage system failures, challenges and/or complications that either directly or indirectly impact GSOC operations
  • Additional duties and responsibilities as assigned by the Global Physical Security Operations Manager or the Global Safety and Security leadership team

Minimum Qualifications

  • 6+ years or more of experience in a GSOC, Security Operations Center or Public Safety Dispatch Center (corporate or government security/safety function)
  • 4+ years of supervisory lead or managerial experience, preferably within corporate or government function
  • Demonstrated ability to build, lead, manage, develop and motivate teams in dynamic and cross-functional environments that is focused on its people, processes and technology to safeguard the Company's people, place and property
  • Strong people management and technical skills with the ability to adapt to change and thrive in ambiguity
  • Experience and demonstrated ability to develop, implement, apply and maintain security related standard operating procedures, processes, processes, protocols, policies, systems and trainings
  • Extensive functional knowledge and experience with security industry standards, technologies, and systems such as: incident alerting and communication platforms, alarm monitoring, video management systems, identity & badge access management, dispatch handling capabilities, allocation of resources, shift scheduling, and stakeholder engagement
  • Experience writing and documentation of incidents or events in a security or dispatch setting, with a focus on professional delivery
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Flexibility and adaptability in adjusting to quickly evolving situations
  • Adept to managing security challenges in a fluid and fast-paced environment
  • Demonstrated the ability to self-prioritize tasks in order to achieve objectives and deliver results
  • Superior written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficient computer literacy skills, proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Strong can do attitude, focused on a customer experience mindset
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate and handle all levels of personnel (internal and external in professional and effective manner
  • Collaborative experience with a diverse set of stakeholders, often under high pressure conditions
  • Ability to effectively lead by example, formulating well thought out responses, both operationally and communicatively, to ensure the most responsible and productive outcomes from the team
  • Possess and maintain any training and requirements as a condition of employment
  • Possess or obtain within 60 days, CPR/AED/First Aid certification
  • Available for 24/7 response to the needs of the GSOC and the Global Safety and Security Team, either through communications or in person depending on the needs of the organization
  • May at times be required to assist in staffing a vacant position on the operations floor, to ensure minimal coverage or to provide additional GSOC oversight and operational support during times of crisis, urgency, or emergencies
  • Candidates will be subject to pre-employment screening and background checks

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with management and development of geographically distributed teams
  • Knowledge or general awareness of Environmental, Health & Safety programs and standards
