Autodesk Revit seeks a team manager for our Building & Infrastructure Design (BID) Group in Autodesk China R&D Center (ACRD) based in Shanghai, China. As a manager, you will be a leader of a product team design and deliver Revit features, APIs, especially architecture related features. You will be the team manager of a scrum team works with product managers, architects, product owners, scrum masters, developers, quality assurance engineers and user experience designers, to collaboratively deliver various team requirements and goals to advance the product for subscriptions.

Responsibilities
  • Recruit, build, lead and develop a high performing engineering team with software developers and testing engineers
  • Organize and drive software development activities to continually make progress on product roadmap
  • Lead technical investigations to determine feasibility of requested enhancements
  • Establish and pursue team goals that connect to wider organization goals
  • Collaborate with scrum masters to constantly remove impediments to team's progress and support team to be successful at releasing high quality software
  • Collaborate with product owners to communicate project status to internal stakeholders
  • Support scrum masters and product owners to facilitate and improve team agile process
  • Work with tech leaders to formulate team's technical strategy and roadmap
  • Mentor and coach technical engineers, regularly communicate with team members, conduct performance evaluation and focal reviews
  • Work with team members to establish career development plans
  • Participates in scrum daily meetings, sprint grooming, planning, demo, review and retrospectives meetings
  • Participate in stakeholder meetings to maintain team awareness of requirement priorities


Minimum Qualifications
  • BS or higher degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Mechanical Engineering, Architecture or equivalent domain
  • Over 9 years of experience in an engineering or technical role delivering software solutions
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills in English
  • Experience with scrum and agile development processes and methodologies
  • Detail-oriented with respect to software development process, communication and documentation


Preferred Qualifications
  • Over 2 years as manager or comparable experience supporting various sized team and projects is a plus
  • Experience in built high performing engineering teams with diverse skillset, attracting good talent is a plus
  • Experience in BIM software development is a plus
  • Technical leadership experience in one or more areas of graphics, modeling is a plus
