Position Overview

We are looking for a highly motivated Director of Program Management to join the Digital Business Platform team. You will be responsible for leading, planning and executing on a large-scale digital transformation project, Apollo, modernizing our financial systems. An ability to think critically and managing stakeholders effectively will be key to success in this role.

Responsibilities

  • Lead, plan, and execute on our complex digital transformation project, collaborating successfully with stakeholders and other cross-functional teams
  • Responsible for scope, schedule and budget of the entire, multi-year, multi-phase project
  • Able to identify dependencies across various workstreams within the financial modernization project, as well as across other projects related to Autodesk's broader digital transformation efforts, and work to resolve them
  • Develop strong, productive and positive stakeholder relationships, including C-level sponsors, maintaining effective communication channels, and being direct without burning bridges
  • Manage risk proactively, anticipate potential issues, implement appropriate mitigations, and remove blockers
  • Optimize the operations of the program including roles, responsibilities, process and approach
  • Demonstrate proficiency in change management to ensure large organization transformation, ensuring continuing alignment and coordination of overall program
  • Manage a direct team of program managers who will support you in driving the program forward to success
  • Run point in Independent Software Vendor, including SAP, and System Integrator relationships (technology roadmaps, resource augmentation, etc.)
  • Define and measure success metrics and monitor change progress


Minimum Qualifications
  • BA/BS, preferably in business, technical and/or related fields, Master's degree preferred
  • 12+ years of experience in program management, most of which should be working on software development and/or implementation
  • Experience managing large scale projects, especially leveraging Systems Integrators and strategic partners effectively
  • Strong influencing without direct ownership, inside and across organization boundaries, at all levels of the organization, using data and compelling narratives
  • Able to build collaborative relationships with stakeholders, and work well with many personality types
  • Able to drive for the big picture without getting bogged down in every detail
  • Highly organized, work and think in a methodical and orderly way
  • Superb verbal and written communications skills
  • Comfortable with ambiguity and have excellent judgement
  • SAP experience preferred
