Position Overview

This is a unique opportunity to join the Autodesk Field Engagement business development Team and contribute to Autodesk Educations Experiences efforts to inspire, engage, and prepare our next generation to shape the future of making.

As part of the Autodesk Field Engagement Business Development Team , you will be responsible for taking our Education offerings to key strategic partnerships and state infrastructure like WorldSkills. Alongside your Field Engagement colleagues, you will collaborate with our existing channel of Autodesk Learning Partners to help deepen our ties with our strategic partners and drive Autodesk adoption efforts at scale. You will have the opportunity to work across multiple functions to understand, analyze, prioritize and communicate offerings to the strategic partnerships like WorldSkills. Doing this successfully requires you to have strong relationship building and communication skills, an ability to spot strategic opportunities and demonstrate the value of our offerings, be comfortable handling multiple projects simultaneously, and show passion to drive toward expansion and growth of our footprint in the WorldSkills as a strategic partner.

Responsibilities

  • Work alongside key strategic partners to develop and manage Autodesk offerings for the WorldSkills that help drive Autodesk adoption in schools
  • Collaborate with Autodesk Government Affairs team and help drive the future direction of Autodesk Education in partnership with select states' Departments of Education
  • Participate in setting business objectives and work with a cross-functional team to meet and exceed objectives
  • Understand customer needs, limitations and the ecosystems within which they operate, and which therefore influence business decisions.
  • Develop program plans and execute against them, monitor business performance against the plans
  • Collaborate extensively with internal stakeholders to explain initiatives, gain approval, and see these initiatives to completion
  • Work with internal and external stakeholders to drive awareness about business plans and articulate compelling value propositions around these efforts
  • Work with marketing to ensure messaging and positioning is in-line with customer needs and business strategy
  • Help with sales enablement and readiness to train Autodesk Learning Partners to execute on offerings for this market

Minimum Qualifications

  • Passion for education, technology and knowledge of software, IT and Industry 4.0 technology trends
  • Deep experience with customers in the Education sector
  • Proven ability to think systemically, interpret trends / patterns and develop plans to insulate against competition
  • Skilled diplomat with high levels of professional confidence and business acumen, with proven ability to influence at a high-level (faculty, administrators, policy makers) and garner support for business objectives, and drive timely decisions
  • Excellent interpersonal skills to build strong relationships and trust, especially with Strategic Partners, Educators, Autodesk Learning Partners
  • Demonstrated effective communication skills and strong executive presentation skills, comfortable presenting to executive audiences and large groups of stakeholders
  • Must be adept at strategic prioritization and have an ability to juggle priorities consistently, and drive results
  • Great judgment and excellent analytical problem-solving skills
  • Some travel required (approximately 50%)

Preferred Qualifications

  • Domain knowledge and experience working in Career & Technology Education (CTE)
  • Understanding of cloud and SaaS technology and the business landscape.
  • Knowledge and experience of advanced manufacturing technologies
  • Has worked in a highly matrix environment with a number of stakeholders across organizations
  • Has excellent skills in Microsoft Office tools

Salary is one part of Autodesk's competitive package. Offers are based on the candidate's experience and geographic location. In addition to base salaries, we also have a significant emphasis on discretionary annual cash bonuses, commissions for sales roles, stock or long-term incentive cash grants, and a comprehensive benefits package.
