ABOUT THIS ROLE
Audible is seeking an experienced Financial Associate Director to help support the Brand and International organization with a focus on our portfolio of International marketplaces. This is an exciting opportunity to develop your skills as a finance business partner supporting the global teams to drive strategic initiatives and key analysis to support the company's business and growth objectives. You will provide compelling and well-researched analysis for use in shaping strategic decisions. You will translate rapid business growth to operational support needs and financial implications across marketplaces and at a portfolio level. This role will provide you with an excellent understanding of the international organization and key marketplaces through its exposure to key drivers for acquisition, retention, and engagement. The Financial Planning & Analysis, Associate Director - International will also play a critical role supporting the Sr Director, Finance and other core functional senior leaders.

Audible's Global Finance Team partners throughout the organization to develop and provide performance insights, deep-dive analysis, and business analytics that drive growth, business planning, and strategic decision-making. We work closely with Amazon's media & entertainment and digital business units (including Prime Video, Music, Games, Twitch, Studios/MGM) in continued partnership to think holistically on behalf of our customers.

As a Financial Planning & Analysis, Associate Director - International, you will...

  • Support the Senior Director, Finance to define and deliver business solutions as we move to a global product offering structure, develop local content hubs
  • Help support international vision by driving analysis that will inform business decisions for overall business growth and transformation.
  • Have a particular focus on FP&A reporting and processes including long range financial forecast, annual operating plan, and guidance across products and territorie
  • Assist in the development and analysis of internationally-focused strategic initiatives leveraging market-sizing analysis, study of key trends and performance metrics, and KPI outputs
  • Deliver analytics projects and create business models driving key insights for making critical business decisions
  • Become a subject matter expert on the relationships between product, content, marketing decision-making and their impact on acquisition, retention, engagement and the overall business
  • Understand and analyze related market & channel trends
  • Partner with leadership teams across global brand and content marketing business initiatives, including budgetary financial management and strategic analysis to support planning, prioritization, and decision-making
  • Provide thought leadership behind improving and automating existing data models and business intelligence efforts
  • Develop and maintain relationships with key department personnel, business intelligence teams, and Amazon finance counterparts
  • Be prepared to discuss and present the financial forecast to an audience of senior executives across the organization

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance or Accounting
  • 5+ years of professional experience in a role in financial planning, strategic financial advisory, or operational analysis within industries such as investment banking, corporate consulting, public accounting, or a related industry
  • Experience in financial analysis and financial model building
  • Strong financial modeling and advanced Excel background
  • Previous experience with financial systems such as Cognos TM1 or Hyperion
  • Related international experience

Preferred Qualifications

  • Proven ability to build relationships and communicate with peers, executive management and other critical stakeholders
  • Ability to work cross-functionally and manage large data sets while developing analyses independently
  • Ability to articulate ideas and conclusions clearly and effectively, while proactively serving stakeholders
  • Proven ability to invent and simplify across organizations and within teams
  • Reciprocal past experience in showing bias for action, taking smart risks and establishing project priorities, while identifying and implementing best practices along the way
  • Ability to show strategic thinking in how analysis is developed, presented and used in informed decision thinking
