Senior Market Development Manager - DIRECTV Latin America


The Partner Manager will lead the partnership strategy and efforts for DirecTV's LATAM digital TV platform's top-tier device and technology partners. This is a great opportunity for someone who has a passion for digital TV and video technologies, and experience building creative and strategic partnerships while operating in a fast-paced, multinational environment. The ideal candidate is someone with a strong background in digital media and business development with a successful track record and deep passion for evangelizing groundbreaking digital platforms and products.

RESPONSIBILITIES

#Partner Relationship Management

  • Develop and manage strategic partnerships to deliver an amazing DTV experience across a wide range of devices
  • Build a network of trusted relationships with major technology vendors and gain executive access with key partners to ensure the best representation on their platforms
  • Identify and develop marketing opportunities with consumer device platform partners based on development and launch cycles

#Business Planning
  • Define portfolio of partner opportunities across platforms and devices, and prioritize to maximize reach and impact
  • Identify new partner platform opportunities based on the changing digital TV and video landscape
  • Work with partners, internal marketing, and communications teams to plan high-impact launches and marketing plans that maximize exposure and reach
  • Negotiate commercial agreements and marketing opportunities with top-tier device and technology partners

#Product Strategy
  • Develop a deep understanding of the rapidly changing digital TV ecosystem. Analyze and articulate the competitive landscape, evolving and emerging video and TV business models and new technology trends
  • Work with internal product management teams to influence product direction and ensure strategy maximizes partner platform opportunities
  • Define and articulate product vision and consumer value proposition to assist with the development of commercial models that take advantage of partner platform capabilities

#Business Operations
  • Build a strong network of trusted technology platform partners, professional services providers and creative agencies. Maintain a network of relationships within strategic vendors to stay top of mind for new plans and releases.
  • Work with DTV legal team to drive the execution of technology vendor and device platform partner contracts and professional services agreements.
  • Maintain ongoing relationships with partners to anticipate new product directions and marketing opportunities


EXPERIENCE NEEDED
  • 7+ years of experience building trusted relationships with leading technology and media companies
  • Experience negotiating technology, publishing and marketing agreements with top-tier technology companies
  • Strong technology background, and ability to understand and articulate new technology concepts quickly
  • Experience leading and delivering full lifecycle implementation projects, with a key role in roll-out and ramp-up of significant consumer-facing software or services
  • Deep partner management and/or marketing experience with an ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously, lead cross-functional teams and perform under pressure and pay close attention to detail while maintaining focus on the big picture
  • Familiarity with established and emerging video platforms (YouTube, Hulu, Crackle, etc.) required
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication and executive presentation skills are required
  • Creative thinker and innovator, in touch with sports and entertainment audiences

EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS

Bachelor's Degree or equivalent in related discipline; Master's Degree in related discipline preferred

LANGUAGE REQUIREMENTS

English, proficiency in Spanish and Portuguese preferred



TRAVEL

Ability to travel as needed (approx. 25%) and work flexible hours/days of the week
