Principal- Tech Vendor Mgmt

The Vendor Management team at enables AT&T products ecosystem for merchants, businesses, partners and other key customers to reach its fullest potential by customer onboarding, troubleshooting and by being the voice of customers internally.

We are looking for an experienced technologist or Technical Program Manager to augment the vendor management team. This role will focus on partnering with Global Sourcing, architecture and other engineering teams to understand the technical platform needs for products and services. Be able to provide technical inputs and influence the decision-making process, focus on the implementation and execution of a vast array of strategic outsourcing programs. What You Will Do @ AT&T Entertainment Operations:

Partner with engineering teams to understand technology demand for outsourcing, overall architecture of systems, including hardware and software.

Collaborate on determining the best fit hardware and software architecture solutions and service that meet performance, usability, scalability, reliability, and security needs. Contribute to complex and innovative business solutions to achieve strategic goals and objectives

Knowledge of voice, video, and app technologies/protocols, wireless technologies standards and protocols, network and system architecture, Virtualization, Storage and Content Delivery Networks

Proficient in specifying and evaluating architecture requirements for RFXs

Review vendor data identify process improvement opportunities and drive improvement of vendor performance

Manage vendor relationship, making sure contract terms are fulfilled and mitigating vendor risk

Identify potential vendors and conduct research to determine who offers the best products, technology, prices, and services

Identify issues and emerging risks related to vendors, solutions, and products and bring visibility to appropriate senior leaders to incorporate into strategic planning

Generate and maintain forecasts for budgets (capital and expense) and reconcile invoices against deliverables and forecasts

Provide technical and operational input into vendor contracts and review contracts prior to signing

Minimum Qualifications:

  • BS Degree in computer science, engineering, or related discipline
  • 7 years of experience in technical vendor management/service delivery, managing operations across multiple suppliers and geographies in the technology domain
  • Experience working with multiple vendor suppliers, cross-functional and Business teams, to setup, stabilize and scale new product operations
  • Experience working in the support and outsourcing space
  • Strong business analysis and problem-solving skills. Ability to easily manipulate and analyze a broad range data using Excel or SQL Queries
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Leadership qualities, including meeting facilitation, time management, organizational skills and ability to influence others
  • Ability to work with technical and business-oriented teams

    Preferred Qualifications:


  • MBA or master's degree
  • Strategic consulting experience in the relevant domain
  • Experience in managing technical support operations
  • Ability to build relationships and have solution-selling capabilities
  • Familiarity with Business Intelligence tools and purchasing systems
