Overall Purpose:

Responsible for performing data analysis and maintaining and designing technical solutions as part of a centralized team in support internal audits.

Key Roles and Responsibilities:

Perform data analysis on large and complicated datasets from various sources throughout the company using scripting tools and languages (e.g., SQL, Python); robotics automation software (e.g., RPA), business intelligence and visualization software (e.g., Power BI, Tableau, IDEA), and databases (e.g., MySQL, Oracle). Collaborate with fellow data analysis team members as well as the audit teams and business unit clients to develop technical solutions aimed at analyzing data and drawing conclusions in support of internal audits and consultative projects. May assist in database administration responsibilities.

Participate directly on audit teams where responsibilities include the review, analysis, and monitoring of procedures and systems of internal controls within the organization.

Performs detailed evaluation of data processing systems and operating procedures. Tests systems for existence of and adherence to proper controls and for accuracy. Evaluates the effectiveness of security measures. Determines if data processing procedures conform to corporate policies and standards. Prepares reports on audit results and provides recommendations to management.

Job Contribution:

Works on extremely complex problems where analysis of situations or data requires an evaluation of intangible variance factors. Exercises independent judgment in developing methods, techniques, and evaluation criterion for obtaining results.

Education: Typically a bachelors degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Experience: Typically requires 5-7 years experience.

Supervisory: No.

Preferred Skills:

CISA, CPA, or CIA
