Chief Security Officer (Government)

The CSO position serves in an executive leadership capacity and will hold primary responsibility for implementing and overseeing the Cyber, Physical and Personnel security program of the Air Force Enterprise IT falling under the AT&T contract scope. This includes but is not limited to daily operations of the IT security program, oversight of the annual and ongoing risk assessment process, development, implementation, and maintenance of policies and procedures, and of monitoring program compliance as well as investigation and tracking of incidents and breaches in compliance with Federal, Defense and Air Force policy.

Matrix manages a team of engineers to develop security solutions in the areas of:

  • IP Network
  • Cybersecurity
  • Voice and Data
  • Cloud computing
  • Mobility

Responsible for
1) developing work breakdown
2) assigning engineering to cross functional teams
3) ensuring that solutions integrate and inter-operate
4) developing work statements
5) analyzing solution alternatives
6) assessing partner proposals
7) developing basis of estimates
8) developing proposal responses
9) developing solution cost model

The ideal candidate will have a master's degree or equivalent experience in Information Security or Computer Science and certifications in one or more of CISM, OSCP, CISSP, or CGEIT. Candidate must hold a TS Clearance and 15+ years' first-hand experience in IT with at least 10 years of planning, organizing, and developing IT and/or facility security system technologies in the Department of Defense. Experience as a CSO lead for contracts valued greater than $100M is preferred
