User Research Coordinator
Atlassian is seeking a Research Coordinator to directly support the Research team. If you are an impeccable organizer and pride yourself in remaining calm and flexible in the face of ever-changing priorities and needs, then this is the role for you. You will primarily schedule user research sessions with Atlassian customers, use and maintain User Research systems, and recruit new user research participants.
You will help identify the right types of participants for user research and screen them to ensure that they're a good fit for our research activities.
You’ll be responsible for managing multiple concurrent user research recruiting projects: confirming which types of customers the research team need for a particular project, emailing customers, helping them book appointments with researchers, and managing research calendar(s). You'll be welcoming to our research participants while working with a wide variety of internal stakeholders. You'll also help recruit new potential participants (customers and non-customers) into our Atlassian Design Feedback Group.
This role will present you with a broad understanding of all research activities in Atlassian. You will learn:
- about user research methods and activities, including fortnightly product research, customer site visits, and strategic workshops, just to name a few.
- about enterprise software recruiting challenges and how to overcome them
- about different customer types so you can align our activities to target them.
You'll also be the key user and contact for the tools we use for recruiting (You Can Book Me, Exact Target, Google Calendars). We'll provide training on the tools, but you should be comfortable working with online business tools in general.
This role will be 40 hours a week, with some flexibility in work schedule. For example, since many of our User Researchers are in Sydney, Australia, we need someone who can work later in the afternoon, while morning hours are less of a priority.
We are looking for a self starter who can manage our logistics with skill.
More about you
You’re a team player with a positive attitude. You are sharp, good-humored, flexible to changing environments/research needs, and are able to switch directions quickly. You are detail-oriented and self-driven. You can prioritize when faced with multiple projects (or ask for help). You are a master of communication, both written and verbal and are looking for a role in which you will thrive. You will be professional but approachable, and remain friendly even when you are managing several projects.
You are an expert in Google Calendar. You are willing to learn/adopt new office and software technologies. You have demonstrated an ability to be proactive, exercise good judgment, and stay focussed.
You have experience working in administrative or support roles. Knowledge of Atlassian products and SQL is a big plus.
