Solutions Engineer, Sales Demo Platform

Job Description

Atlassian’s Enablement team is focused on delivering rapid customer value within the sales and business development setting. We’re focused on creating an immediately accessible hands-on vision of the customer experience throughout our products for Software Teams, IT Teams and Business Teams.

The Solutions Engineer on this team must work with Atlassian’s product groups to ensure a seamless continuous integration of the latest capabilities into a solution demo environment.  

You will focus on automating the building blocks of an enterprise customer demonstration within Amazon's cloud infrastructure, and establish a self-service interface for our sales and business development partners to create a demo environment on demand with the requisite embedded data and stories for the latest solutions and markets where Atlassian customers have a need for hands-on education of our solutions.

The Solutions Engineer will be actively engaged in various Atlassian Events like SKOs, Partner Training Days, Product Mastery Boot Camps etc. to be in charge of live demos as well conduct presentation/training sessions for partners and customers.

Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to: 

  • Establish Continuous Integration of the Atlassian Demo Hub, a fully integrated stack of demonstrable customer solutions
  • Automate the mechanisms for pulling together the latest releases of JIRA, Confluence, Bitbucket and Bamboo with usable solution demo data
  • Work with Product Marketing and Product Management to define the solution demo stories and demo paths
  • Actively commit changes to Atlassians demo git repository
  • Create a simple sales friendly self-service automated demo environment for all customer facing organizations
  • Partner with Business Development teams on extending the solution demo with 3rd party integrations
  • Contribute content to technical solution guides
  • Be a thought leader with customers and partners on the technical fundamentals of our solutions
  • Understand the solutions sales cycle and what technical demos will enhance customer education on key solution capabilities
  • Work with the Sales Ops teams to ensure measurement of impact of demo labs on the sales cycle
  • 20% travel to connect with our international customer facing teams and product teams in our regional headquarters

More about you

On your first day, we'll expect you to have:

  • A strong hands on technical background in containerization (e.g. Docker), deployment scripting technologies (e.g. Puppet, Chef, Docker Swarm), and all things Amazon infrastructure (e.g. EC2, S3, ELB, Lambda, EBS, Route 53, ELB, VPC)
  • Hands on experiences in scripting production deployments within AWS with containers
  • Attention to detail for scale and resilience

It's great, but not required, if you have:

  •  Exposure to self-service deployment mechanisms for sales and marketing e.g. Skytap, Cloudshare, and other similar tools and integration points to Salesforce.com
  • Excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills
  • The ability to communicate clearly and quickly to explain technical concepts to a non-technical audience

The go-to-market organisation comprises of field, partner, enterprise and enablement teams all working together to expand Atlassian's footprint across the globe.
