Solutions Engineer

Job Description

Atlassian is looking for an outgoing technical guru who can 'talk shop' with our largest customers. Our Solutions Engineer team plays a key role in how Atlassian recommends and sells our suite of Enterprise Products and Services. How do you know if this is a fit for you?

As a Solutions Engineer, you ride shotgun to our Enterprise Advocates, Atlassian’s flavour of an Enterprise Sales team, providing technical sales support. You guide customers through the execution of high profile product evaluations using in-depth knowledge of Atlassian, our Enterprise tool set, and industry best practices. This can take on many forms from product demonstrations, phone calls, email support, and rare but occasional on-site visits. Solutions Engineers also act as a feedback funnel directly to our product management teams, offering insights and recommendations gathered from their customer interactions.

More about you

You want to be a part of something big. Big customers, big projects and big products define this role. Between helping enable our Enterprise Advocates to shine brighter with our customers and helping our customers find solutions to their real pain points, nothing about this role is small. If you want to be a cog in a large and defined system, then this simply is not a job for you.

Still reading? Then we ask that you have 3-5 years experience interacting with customers and the strong written and oral communication skills to back it up. You have familiarity with application lifecycle concepts and deep experience with similar ALM tools (as a user or admin, or on the vendor side), in-depth knowledge of web applications, internet technology, and infrastructure concepts. Experience working off of a queue, development experience, and knowledge of scaling large software implementations (i.e. clustering, mirroring, etc..) are a plus. We are partial to candidates that have driven innovation through software, whether on the customer side with sales, project management or implementation, or internally through project leadership and application adoption. Really want to win us over? Tell us about your experience using Atlassian tools in the wild. If you don't have experience with Atlassian, we're still excited to talk to you if you have done sales engineering for installed java applications.

More about our team

You’ll be talking with Fortune 500 companies everyday, working closely with our Enterprise Advocates to provide an Enterprise grade experience to our customers. The Enterprise Advocacy team has only recently been established, but like everything we do, it is built on Atlassian's core values. If this mirrors how you want to work, then we are excited to have you join the team and help our company grow and change for the better.

More about the perks

Our offices are open, highly collaborative and yes, fun! To support you at work (and play) we offer some great perks: ample time off to relax and recharge, five paid volunteer days a year for your favourite cause, plenty of food and drinks (including our famous 'Charlie's bar'), ergonomic workstations, 20% work time for your passion projects, unique ShipIt days, a company paid trip after five years and more.
