Software Engineer - Customer Success, Marketplace

Job Description

As a developer for Atlassian you will join an engineering-led company and the award-winning leader in software development and collaboration tools with over 60,000 customers. We're looking for a results-driven engineer to build and improve on the end-to-end experience of the Customer Success program - where users go when they need guidance with their Marketplace add-ons. You'll be responsible for designing, implementing and maintaining solutions as well as participating in code reviewing, pairing, and working with customers and vendors to make the most effective changes possible for this team. As a developer in one of the fastest-growing businesses at Atlassian, our products are scaling rapidly, and this is the team with the most to gain.

This is highly technical developer position where you will have autonomy to dream up and implement great features and services, based in San Francisco, reporting to the Development Team Lead. 

More about You

As a candidate to be a Developer, we expect you to have:

  • Strong experience working with Java or Scala in a professional environment
  • Experience with some of the standard front-end technologies like modern HTML, CSS, JavaScript (we use React, jQuery, Backbone.js, and more), REST, JSON
  • A deep architectural understanding of web applications
  • Creativity, experiment-driven approach, and innovative problem-solving skills

Bonus points if you have:

  • Been on the front-lines dealing with customers and/or support
  • Excitement about the latest trends in application design, SOA and microservices
  • Experience with agile software development methodologies like XP or Scrum
  • Interest to learn more about new languages and frameworks

As a team lead for Atlassian you will join an engineering-led company and the award-winning leader in software development and collaboration tools with over 60,000 customers and thousands of add-on vendors, many of whom build their businesses on top of our platform. We're looking for a results-driven development team lead to help guide our customers through one of their biggest pain-points while also mentoring an awesome team of developers and helping them flourish. You will be working in a fast-paced environment solving difficult, large-scale problems where creative, greenfield solutions are needed. Your team will be responsible for designing and implementing the end-to-end experience of the Customer Success program - where users go when they need guidance with their Marketplace add-ons. You will work directly with an awesome team of developers, as well as other engineering leaders, product management, design, and more.
