Software Developer Intern, Summer 2017
Software is changing the world, and we’re at the centre of it all. With more than 60,000 global customers (including 85 of the Fortune 100) and a highly disruptive business model, we’re advancing the art of team collaboration with products like JIRA Service Desk, Confluence and HipChat–and we’re just getting started. Driven by honest values, an amazing culture, and consistent revenue growth, we’re out to unleash the potential of every team. From Amsterdam and Austin to Sydney and San Francisco, we’re looking for people who are powered by passion and eager to do the best work of their lives in a highly autonomous yet collaborative, no B.S. environment.
Love to innovate? Want the freedom to be creative? How about the time and resources to make them a reality? Yes? Great. We build software for the world’s more talented thinkers. This means we need our own team to push boundaries every single day. Join Atlassian as a summer intern and you’ll be encouraged to use your imagination and try new things. From day one, you will be a valued part of our development team, trusted to make changes to code that directly impact our customers, while gaining deep technical knowledge in full-life cycle product development.
The most amazing thinkers—like NASA rocket scientists and Tesla engineers—are coming to us for solutions. We’re in the business of developing software to help teams everywhere get fantastic ideas off the ground and into the world. As Atlassian intern you be a part of our values-driven culture, and you'll be supported by some of the best minds in tech. We're excited for you to help us do amazing work from the start.

More about our team
We are constantly growing, learning, adapting and trying new things in and out of the office. You’ll be joining a team that is smart and very direct. We challenge each other constantly to improve our work and ask hard questions. We're dedicated to agile methodology and are big believers in ‘lean’ (which means we don’t do documentation for documentation's sake). We know the importance of validating assumptions about users and use various types of testing to analyze to prove if we're right (or wrong). Our bottom line is improving our user’s experience—no matter what.
More about Atlassian
In 2002, our founders, Scott Farquhar and Mike Cannon-Brookes, set conventional wisdom on its ear by launching a successful enterprise software company with no sales force. From Australia. With just $10K in credit card debt. All because the traditional 9-to-5 scared them to death. Today a lot has changed. With more than 60,000 global customers (including 85 of the Fortune 100) and, we’re advancing the art of team collaboration with products like JIRA, Confluence, Bitbucket, and HipChat–and we’re just getting started. We're over 1,500 Atlassians (and growing). Our mission is to help all types of teams realize their visions and get stuff done. But, one thing that'll never change is our propensity to do things a little differently.
Atlassian. Powered by You.
We believe that the unique contributions of all Atlassians is the driver of our success. To make sure that our products and culture continue to incorporate everyone's perspectives and experience we never discriminate on the basis of race, religion, national origin, gender identity or expression, sexual orientation, age, or marital, veteran, or disability status.
All your information will be kept confidential according to EEO guidelines.
