Senior Product Analyst

Do you love the idea of rapidly iterating on new features as experiments against thousands of users to find ones that move the needle and hit customer engagement out of the ballpark? You’re in luck! Atlassian is looking for an analytical mind to work on our HipChat team to analyze the way customers engage with our products.
More about you
The perfect fit is someone who can analyze analytics data (using SQL, Hive, Hadoop etc.), build models based on user behaviour (using R, PySci, Weka etc.), and improve our analytics infrastructure iteratively (using scripting, Unix skills) so we can answer deeper questions. Of course, you might not have all of that today. If you're a great developer with an inclination towards data analysis and data-based decision making or a star business analyst / product manager / data scientist with skills in data analysis and at least some scripting / coding chops, then we should talk. We hope you are comfortable working with our seriously large amount of analytics data to understand trends and behaviors, investigating and establishing product metrics to hold product development teams accountable all while spreading the love of the measure - build - measure - learn cycle within Atlassian (apologies to Eric Ries, we put the measure first :) ). Ideally you have a Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information systems, or equivalent experience or at least two of the following (but the more the better):

Partner with Product and Data teams to understand business questions and make recommendations using product data
Partner with Product and Data teams to analyse data at critical product touch points or experiences to inform product strategy and planning
Partner with Product and Growth teams to plan and measure experiments
Partner with Product and Data teams to identify and measure key product metrics
Partner with Product, Engineering, and Data teams to build a best-in-class data architecture that’s structured to answer critical business questions
