This is a remote position. However, due to the unpredictable nature of potentially disruptive events working hours may not be standard. To help our teams work together effectively, this role may require frequent timezone overlap with the USA and Australia.
Your future team
You will be working in the Global Business Resilience team, reporting to the Head of Business Resilience, within Governance, Risk, & Compliance. The Resilience team focuses on Crisis Management, Disaster Recovery, Business Continuity, and Emergency Management. We take a global approach to resilience while working and developing relationships locally.

The Governance, Risk, & Compliance department is a relatively small team with big impact. It is a high visibility group working with Atlassian business and technology teams across the globe. Our responsibilities include risk discovery and assessment, mitigation and controls oversight, compliance oversight, and reporting. Our purpose is to provide methodologies, structures, processes and oversight to allow effective identification, analysis, reporting, and management of risk throughout the environment. We work with virtually every team within the organization - Legal, Security, Marketing, Finance, Customer Support, Field Operations, all product groups, HR, the executive team, etc. We also collaborate with business partners, consultants, and directly with customers.
The Third Party Risk Management (TPRM) Senior Manager will play a crucial role in developing and implementing our TPRM strategy. This role requires strong leadership and collaboration skills to work with key stakeholders across the company, ensuring that third-party risks are identified, assessed, and managed effectively. The TPRM Senior Manager will ensure that our third-party relationships align with our risk appetite and strategic objectives.
In this role, you will:
- Develop and Implement TPRM Framework: Establish and maintain a comprehensive third-party risk management framework, policies, and procedures that align with the organization's risk appetite and regulatory requirements.
- Stakeholder Collaboration: Partner with key stakeholders, including Legal, Compliance, Procurement, IT, Security, and Business Units, to ensure a holistic approach to third-party risk management.
- Risk Assessment and Mitigation: Enhance the identification, assessment, and mitigation of risks associated with third-party relationships. Develop and implement risk assessment methodologies to evaluate potential third-party risks.
- Monitoring and Reporting: Develop and maintain ongoing monitoring processes to track third-party performance and risk exposure. Provide regular reports and insights to senior leadership and relevant stakeholders.
- Incident Management: Work with key stakeholders to establish and improve protocols for managing incidents involving third-party risks, ensuring prompt response and resolution in line with company policies.
- Training and Awareness: Design and deliver training programs to enhance stakeholder understanding of third-party risk management practices and their role in safeguarding the organization.
- Continuous Improvement: Stay abreast of industry trends, regulatory changes, and best practices in TPRM. Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement enhancements to the TPRM program.
- Vendor Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with key third-party vendors to ensure alignment with contractual obligations and risk management expectations.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Risk Management, Finance, or a related field. Advanced degree or professional certification (e.g., CTPRP, CRISC, CISA) is a plus.
- Minimum of 8-10 years of experience in risk management, compliance, or a related field, with a focus on third-party risk management.
- Proven experience in developing and implementing third-party risk management frameworks and programs.
- Strong knowledge of regulatory requirements and industry standards related to third-party risk management.
- Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate with stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and projects in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience with risk assessment tools, methodologies, and technologies.
