Senior Growth Analyst, Ecosystem
The Atlassian Marketplace is one of the largest developer app stores globally with 2,500 items and over $200 million in app sales since launching. Our developer ecosystem partners have made millions of dollars through the Atlassian Marketplace. As the lead for growth and business analytics for Atlassian's developer ecosystem business, you’ll be responsible for performing critical analyses in support of our strategic and tactical initiatives. You’ll provide business reporting services and meaningful growth analytics to the Marketplace team and other areas of the ecosystem business by gathering, extracting and manipulating raw data from multiple databases - large and small - to transform it into useful insights that can be used by the leadership team.

You are the ultimate data expert and thrive on solving complex problems from analysis of big data sets, thinking in a strategic context and synthesizing new ideas to help the ecosystem leadership team understand and grow the business. You have an understanding of process improvement practices and are adept at implementing improvements to organizational and operational effectiveness, efficiency, and quality.
Experience in SQL and reporting/statistical tools with big data sets - in the range of 100’s of millions of records - will be required to successfully deliver results. You'll also be the type of person who enjoys communication and presentation with numbers, trying to present them in simple and useful ways that can help us all take action based on the results.
You'll have the opportunity to:
Support the development of business cases for new strategic initiatives and programs
Gather, document and interpret business requirements for analysis
Use data to provide insights into strategic decision making for customer-facing teams (among others)
Gather requirements and enable data savvy team members to self serve report requests by developing standard queries and documentation
Produce reports to provide better visibility & decision making across all levels of business
On your first day, we'll expect you to have the following experience:
3+ years working as an analyst
Experience with analysis of big data sets
Ability to think strategically and turn data insights into strategic advice
Advanced SQL and reporting tool skills (e.g., GoodData, Redash, Splunk)
Excel / spreadsheet skills (this is our primary tool used for forecasting)
Excellent written and verbal presentation and communication skills
Strong analytical and problem solving skills, with an attention to detail
Responsive to customer needs with a real passion for quality work
It'd be great, but not required, if you have experience in the following:
Data mining experience with BI Tools
Experience in developing business cases, optionally financial models and P&L analysis a bonus
Experience in product market sizing and price analysis
Project management experience and ability to handle multiple time-sensitive projects
Experience and deep understanding within software industry
Strategic thinker and highly developed interpersonal skills

The ecosystem Business Operations team at Atlassian plays a meaningful role in defining strategic improvements and revenue opportunities across the Atlassian Marketplace business. It is a high-profile, high-impact team working closely with and as a part of the extended leadership team in ecosystem, and also with Atlassian's product businesses across the globe.
The ecosystem Business Operations team focuses on multiple parallel initiatives at a time, defined as those projects with significant potential impact towards growing revenue and/or adoption, or advancing a strategic imperative. Our responsibilities include understanding the mechanics of supply and demand in a large app store marketplace focused on enterprise customers, delivering business analytics that embody fine-tuned controls on a marketplace business with thousands of items and millions of matching signals, co-designing marketing analytics that bring light to funnels and campaigns designed to influence them, developing the strategy for and leading the implementation of new merchandising systems to match customer demand with Marketplace supply, or even helping crafting sales and channel campaigns in support of revenue opportunities. You will support the product management and extended leadership functions of the developer ecosystem business, where we make decisions about the next product bets to build for a three to five year horizon.
