Product Marketing Graduate Intern

Job Description

Atlassian is looking for a Product Marketing Summer Intern to join the Bitbucket product marketing team, based in San Francisco. Your role will be to develop and recommend a go-to-market strategy with supporting programs to increase awareness and adoption of Bitbucket and it's latest CI/CD feature, Pipelines. At the end of your internship, you will present your research, findings and recommendations to a senior team of product marketers. 

Our ideal candidate is a passionate, experienced B2B product marketer with proven success in creating and executing successful global marketing programs. A marketer who can translate deep product understanding and customer empathy into marketing campaigns that fascinate prospects and drive demand. You have a strong curiosity for technology and thrive on distilling complex technical verbiage into simple stories which anyone can understand. Is this you?

Responsibilities:

  • Market, customer and competitive analysis. Become an expert on the customers, the industry trends and the players in the market.
  • Product messaging and positioning. Work closely with cross functional teams including product management and PR to develop product positioning and messaging that resonates with customers and differentiates Bitbucket in the market.
  • Strategic and creative campaign planning. Develop full-funnel, multi-channel campaigns that drive customer growth. 
  • Content development. Conceptualize and create unique product and solution content for a variety of channels including email, website, online ads, tutorials/videos and blog.

On your first day, we'll expect you to have:

  • Proven experience creating marketing plans encompassing strategy, customer research, competitive analysis, messaging etc.

  • Excellent presentation, written and verbal communication skills with an eye for quality and attention to detail

  • The attitude of a self-starter and organized team player who thrives in fast-paced, results-driven environments

  • Courage to be creative and innovate on program ideas

  • Ability to think analytically and use data to support your recommendations
  • Working towards an MBA or Masters degree in Marketing 

It’s admired, but not required, for you to have:

  • Relevant industry background and experience in engineering or developer marketing 

  • Understanding of technologies like Version Control, DevOps and CI/CD

You’ll be working with end-to-end corporate marketing teams: field marketing, demand gen, interactive, and funnel science to execute and optimize all the stages of marketing.
