Principal Product Manager, Jira Software

As a Principal Product Manager you'll manage the strategy and work closely with engineering, design, and product marketing to manage a stream of the business. In addition you will lead and grow a team of exceptional Product Managers to drive our product at Atlassian.

On your first day, we'll expect you to have:

  • 6+ years of product management experience
  • You love obsessing over your customers, and working directly with design and engineering to ship delightful products
  • Ability to prioritise among opportunities, balance the needs of our customers with with those of the business and clearly communicate the rationale behind your decisions
  • You are a strategic thinker (but can get down in the weeds too) with great creative and innovative problem-solving skills
  • Be able to help define the product vision to inspire your teams and senior stakeholders
  • Good instincts matched with deep analytical thinking. You're comfortable defining and tracking key business and usage success metrics
  • A track record of building relationships and influencing without authority at all levels of the organisation. You’ll make sure we’re all on the same page.
  • Ability to build a compelling business case for new opportunities.

It's great, but not required, if you have:

  • A strong technical background
  • Experience with product management for software or development tools
  • Have lead Product teams previously
