Operational Excellence Lead
Our team is looking for an experienced operational excellence leader capable of driving impactful outcomes to our Customers For Life global production systems, processes, and tools. If you have experience rolling up your sleeves and executing on deliverables with precision then this role is for you!
Some example techniques/concepts you'll need to experience with are:
- Waste identification and reduction
- Value stream mapping
- Process design and improvement
- Design of experiments
- Statistical analysis
- Root cause analysis
- Data exploration and presentation
Some of the tools/systems you'll use are:
- JIRA and Confluence
You'll work together with other operational excellence leads, analysts, data engineers, project managers, and subject matter experts to deliver impactful outcomes to the organization. You'll identify, initiate, and drive multiple concurrent high-visibility projects along with occasional ad hoc questions from your internal customers.
More about you
You have 5-10 years of experience in the field, a BS degree in Engineering or other technical discipline, and a Lean Six Sigma certification (Green Belt or higher). You have a history of delivering measurable impact on business performance in a support, services, or IT operations organization.
You have previous experience in designing and implementing experiment frameworks and lean programs in service/operations that allow operational teams to rapidly prototype ideas and roll out successful improvements globally. You also have experience using statistical analysis tools such as Minitab, R, etc.
You value high-quality work with attention to detail and have a track record of delivering both. You combine curiosity with critical thinking and good judgment, and like asking "why" to unravel a seemingly complex problem and get to the root cause.
When you encounter a problem you come up with multiple solutions, weigh the tradeoffs and efforts, identify the best path forward, and exercise good judgment to drive ahead. You're comfortable interacting with people across all levels of an organization and can field questions during a presentation like a pro. You're self-driven and find ways to be impactful.
